Weather
Located in Chihuahua Desert, the city of Juarez enjoys a climate characterized by an abundance of sunshine. Juarez experiences high daytime summer temperatures, practically nonexistent humidity, scarce rainfall, and a relatively cool winter season. Dealing with a desert climate (warmer days with cooler nights), the best suggestion is to dress in layers.
Sandstorms are an occasional unpleasant feature of the weather (usually occurring in March and April). Although wind velocities are not excessively high, the soil surface is dry and loose and plant life is sparse so moderate winds can raise considerable dust and sand. Wearing sunglasses and a bandana over the mouth and nose are helpful solutions on these windy days.
When packing for a trip, check the 10-day forecast for projected highs and lows, as well as anticipated winds.
